Nicoya Surf Adventure

The original and still the best!! An incredible trip and a Rica Surf favourite starting at the gorgeous and tranquil Playa Hermosa, location of the World Surfing Games. We then embark on an epic surf voyage beginning with a ferry ride across to the rugged dirt roads and beach tracks of the stunning Nicoya peninsular. Over the following six days we wind up the Pacific coastline, from the cool surfer town of Santa Teresa, with its 10km white sandy beach, to the unspoilt Nosara region, and the great waves of Playa Guiones. We end up on day six in Tamarindo, the surf mecca of northern Guanacaste, where you have the opportunity to surf the famous Witches Rock among other legendary local breaks. Finally it’s just a short drive on day eight to the local airport where you will take a scenic flight back to San Jose.

A spectacular trip that begins in the surf meccas of Hermosa and Dominical and takes you deep into the remote south of the Osa peninsula and the legendary Pavones. You have two days to relax and surf in the laid back hamlet of Playa Hermosa, with the nightlife of Jaco just minutes away. Our next stop is Dominical, a cool village orientated around surfers, with great restaurants and bars all within walking distance of your hotel. The waves here can get epic; locals compare it to Mexico’s Puerto Escondido, but there are plenty of mellow breaks we can introduce you to locally. From here the trip gets wild, as we head into the remote Osa peninsula. Not only can you score some great waves that few visitors to Costa Rica surf, but you will see incredible wildlife and unspoilt jungle backed white sand beaches. Just a short taxi and boat ride back across to the mainland bring you to your final destination: Pavones. Known as the longest left in Central America, this is a wave that you won’t forget. You will be staying in a stunning 14 acre property right on the beach with access up and down the coast to all the great reef breaks in the area. The only hard part is leaving!

Perhaps you have an idea of certain breaks you want to surf, or a special hotel you’d like to stay in. Maybe your dates just don’t fit with ours and you need a shorter or longer break. Or you'd prefer a low budget hostel hopping and camping adventure? Whatever your needs, we will try our best to accommodate them. We are a small company and as such are super flexible. We also know Costa Rica so the more information you give us the more we can tailor your vacation to suit you personally.
