Rica Surf went to Pavones for a few days between trips and stayed at the amazing Yoga Farm in Punta Banco. For a true out of the way experience this camp is set tucked away in the Costa Rica jungle accesible only by 4x4 or (more likely) walking. The stunning and deserted beaches and great waves of the Southern Pacific region of Costa Rica are a stone's throw away, and the farm itself is a model in sustainability. With no mains electricity, the farm relies on solar power, and limited use (!) for its energy. They grow much of their own food and have a horse for the weekly veg run! Composting toilets and the lack of mobile phone reception make your stay a true back to basics experience. I met Pat, one half of the amazing duo who own and run this place, and was immediately welcomed into the community of like minded people volunteering or staying as guests. The Yoga was envigorating and fun and reflected the beautiful energy of the people and the place. We will be back!
