The trip was amazing, I had such a good time. I got barreled, Went fishing, hiking, horse rising. Nancy and Evie were awesome!
Pavones, the second longest left in the world + surfer girls + waves + pizza + wine + cool dog + random bat = recipe for a fun road trip!

3 girls and a dog made a last minute plan for Pavones for the weekend, and packed the car for an early morning (4am!) for the long drive South.
With a pit stop for gallo pinto at around 6am we were in the water in Pavones by nine.
We had a good tip off about a paddle out from an adjacent beach so we got straight to the peak for our first morning session, and worked our way down the line up, ending up catching some nice speedy inside waves.
We followed a great session with a serious nap and then as we headed back to the water for our sunset surf we saw we weren’t the only people to be chasing waves here this weekend, there were probably a hundred people in the lineup!
We had a great evening at the pizza restaurant in town, enjoying the lack of boys, we had a good girly gossip over a bottle of wine!
We got back to our accommodation, our resident bathroom bat (!!)
and a night of sound sleep with the tropical rain pounding on the tin roof. An early morning surf check showed improving conditions and yet more surfers including past Costa Rica champ Gilbert Brown
and although we had to get back to Hermosa later the same day we felt we had had a worthwhile trip south.. Pavones never disappoints!
